  • Who is Keepers’ application for?

    Keepers has been created as a parental tool to support parents and legal guardians to safeguard their children against online risks. Keepers aims to be a tool for children and young adults to allow them to explore the internet and establish relationships in a safer environment, and keep them from putting themselves in a position of risk. For this, we have developed an app that uses advanced technology and natural language processing to detect online concerns, allowing parents to be alerted of this in real time.

    Keepers offers the following features and benefits for its customers: Social monitoring: Keepers the ONLY parental tool that monitors online social media’s chats activity without requiring a child’s passwords. Keepers alerts the parent ONLY when a dangerous situation was detected thus, totally respects his privacy. Smart web filters: Keepers protects users from unsafe and harmful sites that can slip past ordinary monitors. App monitoring: Keepers shows which apps are being used by day/week/month and how much. Location tracking: Keepers’ location monitoring tracks the child's location in real time, including the ability to see the child’s movement history and set allowed and/or forbidden location areas. Time schedule: Keepers enables parents to set advanced time scheduling for their children according to their school-day activities/homework time/bed time by disabling any disruptive activities (apps) on their mobile devices. Time out: Keepers enables to turn off the child’s device by one single press.

  • How do I install and setup Keepers on an Android device?

    This section explains how to easily install and setup Keepers for parents and children that use Android devices. Follow these steps to install Keepers on your device. The entire process will take you less than three minutes. Tip: We recommend having both your's and your child's devices with you before you begin the setup process to easily connect the two devices. Open the Google Play Store and search for KeepersChildSAfety or click directly on this link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keepers. Choose Keepers Child Safety. Tap on install button to download Keepers. Open the Keepers app. Chose to sign up as a parent account. * Make sure you agree to the terms. Enter your valid email address to sign up to Keepers. * Make sure you are entering a valid email address, it will be used in the future in case you forgot your password. Enter your password. * Remember your password, you will need it to connect your child’s device. Now, press on the “guide video” to see the correct way to connect your child, follow the video step by step. Otherwise Set up Keepers on your child's Android device: Open the Google Play Store and search for KeepersChildSAfety or click directly on this link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keepers. Choose Keepers Child Safety. Tap on install button to download Keepers. Open the Keepers app. Chose to sign up as a child account *Make sure you agree to the terms. Enter your email address and password to sign up to Keepers. *Make sure you are entering the same email address and password as you entered on the parent’s device. Chose your country and enter your child's phone number. Now you need to give several permissions in order to enable the system to protect your child. After you are finishing the process, your child may use the device normally.

  • How do I install and setup Keepers on iOS device?

    This section explains how to easily install and setup Keepers for parents that use iOS devices. Follow these steps to install Keepers on your device. Enter your password. * Remember your password, you will need it to connect your child’s device. Now, press on the “guide video” to see the correct way to connect your child, follow the video step by step. Do you wish to connect a child that uses an iOS device? Currently, this service is in the development process.

  • How do I add a second child that uses an Android device?

    This article tells you how to easily set up and connect a second child to your Keepers’ account. Add an additional child using the same process as when adding the first child, or follow along with these step-by-step directions: Open the Setting Menu on the Keepers parent app. Tap on “Account” option. Tap on Add Child - the “+” symbol. Select the app you want to share Keepers through. Enter your child's email address if you chose email app to share Keepers, in case you chose WhatsApp please select your child’s contact. Continue the sending process according to the platform you choose. Open the link on the child’s device. Follow the steps. Tip: The same way, you may also share Keepers with your friends.

  • How many parent accounts can be added per subscription?

    Whereas you can add only one parent account per subscription, this account could run on different devices at the same time. Moreover, each parent account can connect an unlimited number of child’s devices.

  • Why do I need to approve accessibility permissions on my child’s Android device?

    In order to be able to monitor Social Media conversations, the app requires that the Accessibility permission been set to ON. This option enables in the best way Keepers to protect your child from offensive and inappropriate content. Accessibility permission allows the app to monitor all text presented on the child's screen while using it.

  • I installed Keepers on my child’s Android device and it's not reporting any data.

    This article provides troubleshooting for issues that you may experience with Keepers after you installed it on both devices (parents iOS / Android and child’s Android). If you’re experiencing issues, check the notes listed below and if required, follow the possible troubleshooting tips provided: Make sure that you installed and set up Keepers properly on both yours and your child’s device. In addition, ensure that your child accepted all permissions requested on his device. See the attached video - our complete installation and setup guide for Android. Make sure that you are using the latest version of Keepers on both yours and your child’s device. To check, search for Keepers on the Google Play Store and tap on “Update” if required. If you are not receiving any location data for your children, check their ensure that location services are turned on. If you are not receiving any text data, ensure that you have allowed accessibility services on your child’s device. To check, go to the accessibility settings in the settings app on your child’s device and make sure that they are enabled near the Keepers app name. If your child is unavailable, check that your child’s device is turned on and that they are connected to a mobile network or Wi-Fi.

  • How can I unlock my child’s device?

    Open your child’s app, on the upper right corner press on the “settings” button, type your secret code and then press on “LogOut” option. Secret code to unlock the child's device To find your secret code: Open your app. Go to the settings menu. You will see the secret code there. Remember, the code is uniqe for account, do not try to use on different accounts. If you still has a problem after reading this paragraph, please contact our Customer Service.

  • What I am doing if I forgot my password?

    First of all, don’t worry! Open your app. Go to the setting menu. Open “My account” option. Remember what email address you used. Go back to the "Settings" menu. Press "Log out" button in the bottom of the list, confirm your request. Try to log in again, press the “Forgot password” button. Now you got a reset instruction on your inbox, please check it. Follow the instruction. Enjoy Keepers again.

  • What different notifications is Keepers sending a parent?

    Keepers provides various different notifications to parents: Notifications that alert a parent in case that a child has been involved in an offensive conversation (both sides received or sent conversations). Notifications that alert a parent in case that a child has entered or left allowed/forbidden location areas (geofences). Notifications that alert a parent in case that a child’s device has low battery level and need to be charged. Notifications that alert a parent in case a child has disabled some of the permission like location, internet connection and so. Notifications that notice the parent in case a child has requested extra time for using his phone.

  • What different notifications is Keepers sending a child?

    Keepers provides a few different notifications to parents: Notifications that notify a child that his school time, homework time or bedtime is going to start in 10 minutes. In order to take him time to prepare and finish all his ongoing conversations. Remember, the child has an option to request extra time for each of those restriction times. Notifications that notify a child that current required content/app is blocked by the parent.

  • How can I set time schedules?

    Setting time schedules for your child’s device is extremely simple. You can select the day(s), Start Time and End Time of when you would like to apply the times of School day, Homework or Bedtime and then chose from the child’s application list which apps are allowed to use during each period of time and which of them are forbidden. Also, you have the option to apply breaks time between the classes.

  • Why can’t I see my child’s offensive messages on Android?

    If you're not seeing your child's offensive messages, one of the below options could be the reason: Upon installing the app on your child's device, you are asked to approve the accessibility permission, required in order to be able to monitor textual received/sent conversations. * If you did not approve the accessibility permission, please go to your device settings and approve it. Keepers monitors following IM apps conversations: Whatsapp, Instagram, SnapChat, Tik Tok, KiK, Line, Facebook and SMS. If the child received one of those IM app messages but did not read it, we will not be able to scan it.

  • Why can’t I see my child’s location on Android?

    If your child appears unavailable, make sure to: Turn ON GPS functionalities on the child's device. Enable Location Services for the app on the child's device. If all the above are set up correctly, the child could be out of GPS reception.

  • How secure is my child’s personal information?

    Keepers is GDPR compliant and we have End-To-End encryption to protect your private information. We have a policy of privacy by design to make sure that all your information is saved and anonymized on our database.

  • Am I obligated to inform my child, legally or otherwise, when I install the system on the child’s phone?

    We believe that a direct chat with your child is important and you should inform him/her about Keepers; in any case, the app icon is shown on the child’s device.

  • Will the system alert the parent of a conversation that is problematic by nature, even if there is no use of offensive words?

    Yes. Our machine learning is always evolving and we detect new slang words all the time.

  • Will I be notified of my child’s activity even if I’m not in the app?

    Yes! We will send you a push notification to alert. *You may navigate to the notification center on the setting page for more information.

  • Does the app need to be running on my phone in order to detect my child’s messages?

    Keepers works in the background and does not need to be open or block or disable any other smartphone functions.

  • Each time I enter my app, my child receives a pop-up notification, how can I stop it?

    Due to Google policy regulation, we MUST alert any user if a 3rd party would like to get access to his location information i.e. every time you will open the app, the child will get a silence notification. To avoid this inconvenience we can suggest the following: Please go to the notification center on the child's device and turn off the notifications from Keepers.

  • How do I cancel, pause, or change my subscription on Google Play?

    Cancel a subscription Uninstalling the app will not cancel your subscription: On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Play Store . Check if you’re signed in to the correct Google Account. Tap Menu Subscriptions. Select the subscription you want to cancel. Tap Cancel subscription. Follow the instructions. If you have a subscription with an app and the app gets removed from Google Play, your future subscription will be canceled. Your past subscriptions will not be refunded. What happens after you cancel: When you cancel a subscription you’ll still be able to use your subscription for the time you’ve already paid. For example, if you buy a one-year subscription on Jan. 1 for $10 and decide to cancel your subscription on July 1: You’ll have access to the subscription until Dec. 31. You won’t be charged another yearly subscription of $10 the following Jan. Restart or restore a subscription If your subscription is cancelled, but still active: On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Play Store. Check if you’re signed in to the correct Google Account. Tap Menu Subscriptions. Select the subscription you want to restore. Tap Restore. Follow the instructions. Note: Some subscriptions may not be available to restore. If your subscription is cancelled, but has expired: If you cancelled your subscription and the remaining time on your subscription has expired, set up your subscription again. Pause a subscription Some apps will also let you pause your subscription. When you pause a subscription, your subscription will pause at the end of your current billing period. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Play Store . Check if you’re signed in to the correct Google Account. Tap Menu Subscriptions. Select the subscription you want to pause. Tap Manage Pause payments. Set the time period to pause payments. Tap Confirm. Restart payments for a paused subscription You can resume your subscription anytime. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Play Store . Check if you’re signed in to the correct Google Account. Tap Menu Subscriptions. Select the subscription you want to start again.   • How can I confirm my purchase on Google Play?

    Review your order history When you make a purchase on Google Play, Google play will send you a confirmation email with your order information to the Google Account you use when making your purchase.   • How can I view, change, or cancel my subscription on App Store?

    How to change or cancel subscriptions on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Open the Settings app. Tap your name, then tap Subscriptions.* Tap the subscription that you want to manage. Don't see the subscription that you're looking for? Choose a different subscription option, or tap Cancel Subscription. If you don’t see Cancel Subscription, the subscription is already canceled and won't renew. *If you don't see "Subscriptions" in the Settings app, tap "iTunes & App Store" instead.
